Church Music on Demand is an online publisher that makes the music of Walter W. Schurr immediately available to anyone who has a computer and printer. It's not a way for you to order his music and get it in the mail. It's a way to have it in your choir's hands today.
Church Music on Demand was born of frustration. Dr. Schurr is an established composer who has had music published by various traditional music publishers since 1978. But as most composers know, publishers often don't publish your best compositions. They publish only what "fits their needs" for that year. And that's frequently hard to outguess.
Technology has made "e-printing" or "on demand" publishing possible. The Internet provides a way to make this music available to a much wider audience far more cheaply than does traditional publishing.
How does this work? It's a simple concept. We sell you the pdf files, and you print the music, punch the paper, and put it in three-ring binders for your choir. Need it for tonight's rehearsal? You can have it immediately. And with each purchase, you will receive a license to print and maintain the number of copies you pay for.
And so we welcome you to Church Music on Demand. We have music for Christmas, Lent, Easter, and everything in between. We offer anthems for choir and instruments, service music for organ, selections for instruments alone. We even have congregational songs.
